Alexandra Maria Lara has been a German/Romanian television actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is known for roles in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra Maria Lara was born as the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. At the age of 16 she portrayed the lead part in a variety of dramas on television. The audience was impressed by her performance in Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable performances, like Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film featuring this divas. Alexandra has been involved in numerous important international and national projects through the years. They include British biographical films like Control and The Dust of Time as along with the French historical miniseries Napoleon. The actress also served on the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
